At Njiro Int. Dental Clinic, we work to prevent gum disease in our patients. This gum infection is common and most adults tend to suffer from it at some point during their lifetime. The problem is that this disease can lead to tooth and bone loss, making it essential to prevent and treat it. We provide gingivitis treatment to anyone with gum disease. We start with examining you and letting you know if you have any signs of gum disease, along with recommending effective treatment options.
We’re a reputable dental clinic with expertise and capability in providing gum cleaning services. Our periodontists and staff have provided exemplary dental care to hundreds of patients and are committed to providing the best care for you and your family.
We provide personalised gum disease treatment. Our treatment includes scaling and tooth planing, antibacterial irrigation, and other medication. We do everything to restore your oral health while avoiding costly and uncomfortable surgery. Early gingivitis treatment with non-surgical procedures can prevent serious complications that develop when the condition is not checked.
Treatment Options for Gum Disease
There are various ways to treat periodontal disease. The treatment option depends on how far the condition has progressed. If the condition is at the early stages, professional teeth cleaning sessions will restore the gums to good health. However, if the condition has progressed, we might recommend the following:
Periodontal infection therapy. This treatment procedure involves applying a certain chemical to slow down the growth of gum disease. The dentist can prescribe the use of antiseptic mouth rinse to kill bacteria and combat the condition.
Deep cleaning, also known as scaling and root planing. This periodontal treatment procedure is done over multiple visits. The dentist cleans a specific area of the mouth on a different day. In a deep cleaning, the dentist will pull away the gums from the teeth and scrape off plaque and tartar underneath.
Gum grafts. If the gum recession is severe and too much of your teeth or roots are showing, the dentist will recommend a gum graft to restore the gum tissue. Donor gum tissue is removed from the mouth palate to cover the exposed tooth. Once you recover, the gums will secure back around the teeth like they were before developing gum disease.
Antibiotics. Often, our periodontist will prescribe antibiotics to be taken in combination with gingivitis therapy. This helps to remove any remaining infection.
