Extractions are performed for a wide variety of reasons, but most commonly to remove teeth which have become unrestorable through tooth decay, periodontal disease, or dental trauma, especially when they are associated with toothache.

During the procedure, you may feel pressure, but without pain. This pressure is simply part of the process of removing your tooth. Your dentist may choose to section your tooth, meaning your tooth will be cut into sections and removed piece by piece. This is a relatively common procedure. Throughout the process, we will make every reasonable effort to keep you as comfortable as possible.
